Anthony (popularly known as Dramzzy - Mr. White) is an indigenous Son of Umuogida Emeke Obibiezena and a Lecturer with the Department of Quantity Surveying, School of Environmental Sciences, Federal University of Technology Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria. Born into a family of six, he is the only child with albinism. Growing up came with its unique challenges but with a lot of support from family, sheer determination, and a dint of hard work and persistence, he was able to successfully navigate the turbulent waters of childhood and adolescence. Against all odds, Anthony has grown from strength to strength, which is an irrefutable proof that anyone can attain greater heights across all strata of human endeavors, including political leadership, academics, business, entrepreneurship, entertainment, etc. irrespective of their skin color, ethno-religious bias, or socioeconomic status. He is passionate about Persons With Albinism (PWA's) and the well-being of humanity at large, hence, his interest in developing The African Albinism Initiative (TAAI). With the birth of TAAI, Anthony hopes to beam the searchlight on the issues PWA's face, while rallying a multisectorial approach towards sustainably addressing them for mutual co-esistences amongst their peers.
Secretary
Mrs. Oge is the CEO and Sole owner of Oge Event Management. She is currently the manager of FOCUS CONCEPTS and also one of the brains behind the development of The African Albinism Initiative – TAAI. She is a professional chef and has great passion for humanitarian services. Oge derives joy in listening and providing positive solutions to people in distress hence, the key motivation for her involvement to see that PWA’s are passionately related with and widely accepted in the society.
Director of Administrations
Irene is a dedicated Public Health Microbiologist, a registered and practicing Environmental Health Officer in Nigeria and Member, Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH) United Kingdom. She obtained her Postgraduate in Public Health from the University of East London (UEL) United Kingdom and the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) Nigeria respectively. Irene has great passion for researches geared towards health promotion to ensure healthier livestyles. At the African Albinism Initiative (TAAI), She renders professional advice and support to Persons with Albinism (PWA) inorder to help them live healthier and fulfilled lives.
Director of Medicals
Dr. Obi is a Consultant Radiologist working in Nigeria and the UK simultaneously. He is the Principal and CEO of Human Race Specialist Medical Centre Owerri. He has a passion for accessible and quality healthcare for all including PWA’s and also provides Specialist support to the Nigerian Muscular Dystrophy Society. He is a grateful husband, father and also a passionate farmer.
Director of Women and Child Care
Mrs Ngozi Obioma recently took interest and now works in the Education Sector( with Mainstream and Special Education Needs experience). Ngozi is a director with Humanrace Medical services UK. She owns a Nigerian foodstuff business called 247naijafoods. In her spare time, she volunteers as a Public Health Champion within her borough and as a project manager with a UK registered charity~ CAME women and girls Development Organisation. Ngozi campaigns for health improvement and general wellbeing, equality, inclusion, accessibility, equity and development for all most especially for girls with albinism / disabilities. Her long-term desire is to transfer her years of experience and drive these initiatives to her home country Nigeria. Ngozi has past years of experience working in the National Health Service as a Clinical Support Worker and Team Administrator. She is married and blessed with children.
Director of Public Relations and Operations
Poised with the gift of academic excellence, Mr. Chris (popularly known as Marking Scheme) is a Food Scientist with a passion to make foods safe and available to everyone. He has a background in Microbiology and Advanced Food Safety, and currently undertaking a Ph.D. research in Chemical Engineering in Birmingham university UK with a focus on developing a novel approach to food preservation using biological agents. His vision is to help contribute to the eradication of hunger globally, ensuring that safe nutritious food can be on the table of everyone irrespective of location, income, or other restrictive socio-economic factors
Director of Welfare and Logistics
Charming with a radiant smile, Dr. Cynthia (MNOA) is a professional Optometry Doctor from the Abia State University Uturu (ABSU), a wife and mother of awesome kids, and an entrepreneur. Her professional experience as the Head of Optometry Department of Human Race Medical Diagnostic Center have in no small measure triggered her passion towards eye cares of Persons With Albinism (PWA’s) thereby helping them get lasting solutions to visual impediment and rendering professional advice where necessary.
